After an amazing night sleep, we decided to take it easy for the morning and let the kids be free. A morning of baking cupcakes and playing at the park was in order. Homework completed and yummy chocolate cupcakes were baked (despite not having any where to keep them).
Lazing around, Maciek cleaned his car and I potted with the kids. After a quick lunch, we decided we should probably leave the caravan park and see what Port Augusta had to offer.
First pit stop - the Waldata Outback Center. This place has recently been refurbished and was fantastic! Amazing displays presented information about the South Australian Outback from Aboriginal time to present. There were many movies to watch and interactive displays for the kids. There was a magnificent display about the school of the air and royal flying Doctors Service. There was even an old telegraph you could "attempt' to use and someone would write a response back. It was good fun! Towards the end of the museum, there was a large exhibit from the Old Ghan train. Two and a half hours later, we ventured out of the museum. This was a in expensive outing and was just fabulous. From here we found the South Australian equivalent of Chickenfeed, called Cheap as Chips. It was better than chickenfeed, and no better place to waste time and money but here. Heading back to the campsite, the kids quickly ran off back to their friends at the playground; and Maciek headed back to finish cleaning the car with the newly purchased cleaning products.

I think today was the first day we have fully felt relaxed and not rushed in a number of weeks. It is finally good to feel calm and relaxed. Tomorrow, whilst suppose to be raining (hoping it doesn't), we plan to head to the Arid Botanical Gardens and the Red Cliffs.
