After breakfast we went and played a friendly game of putt putt golf. Fun was had by all of us. Maciek won! Even Bella had a go and loved it! The remainder of our time was spent in the pools. The kids swam and swam and swam! They love the water as much as the fish do. We were hoping to hop in a kayak and have a paddle but ran out of time (and didn't want to pay $50 for 30 minutes / kayak).
After swimming for an hour and a half we headed back for the cruise vessel and made our way over to Long Island. We were holding big expectations for this island, as Daydream was fabulous for swimming and relaxing. We were slightly disappointed with Long Island. The water activities (i.e. kayaking, peddle boats and many others) were free but only at high tide. We arrived and it was low tide; so we were unable to do anything on the beach really. The tide drops 3 meters at low tide (which is a very long way out to the water) and therefore stops anyone from being able to do any water sports. The kids were disappointed too! Anyway, with this in mid we ate some lunch and headed for the pool. WOW! it was FREEZING!!! (not heated). I guess the only bonus was that the pool bar was open. We all had a quick swim but the kids spent most of the time playing in the spa (with about five other kids). The spa was lovely and warm, much like a bath. Maciek and I spent the majority of the time soaking up the warm sun rays and watching the kids,. There wasn't really much else for us to do. We could have quite happily spent all day on daydream island and just swam in the 4 pools with the kids. Anyway a good day was had by all. The kids were so well behaved and loved relaxing all day!
After a very long day, we arrived back at home aka the tent around 6pm.The kids were exhausted (and so are we!). Quick dinner, shower and bed. What an awsome day we have all had. We will all sleep well tonight. xoxo
